A Day in the Life of our School
|
School starts in St. Joseph's at 9.00. (When the choir is practicing they start at 8.30). When we come into class we
hang up our coats and then we say a prayer. We have our little break
at 10.55. That break is for 15 minutes. Our big break is from 12.45
to 1.15. At big break the Hurling or Gaelic football team train. If
they are not training then fifth or sixth class can play football in
the field.
All the teachers are nice, especially Mr. O' Toole who is the principal. We always try to keep the school very clean.
Last year we won the Green Flag award.
Classes finish at 2.30 but there are lots of extra curricular activities like basketball, chess and games club. We also
have school teams that are in competitions against other schools.
This year our Gaelic team won the league and our quiz team reached
the all-Ireland final.
Report by Mr. Desmond's class.
