The Choir
My day as a choirboy starts at quarter to eight. I
wake up and get dressed. Afterwards I eat my breakfast and brush my
teeth. Usually I leave at eight o'clock to get into school at
twenty-past eight just in time. At choir we start singing at half
eight and sing until nine our choir instructor is Mr. Michael Malone
he inspires us to sing our hearts out. We have two great
choreographers Ms. Healy and Ms. Desmond they teach us all the move
to the tunes. We sing many different types of song we do theme
tunes, rock songs, pop, and old songs. We have a great time. I feel
so good coming out of choir that I can't wait for the next day. I
practice singing for a while. I feel great after singing with the
choir and I make lots of new friends from second class up to sixth
class who have all auditioned for the choir and all got through like
me.

The Band
In the band we have a few different
instruments, like the tin whistle, the accordian, the drums and the
bongos. We usually practice in the morning. It's great fun. We play
at our scool mass every month. Every year we have a school Christmas
concert and an end of year concert when we play for the school and
the parents. We also go to the Corfheile which is a non-competitive
concert for schools. Every year we go to Belgrove S.B.N.S. in
Clontarf to perform and then they come to our school. Mr. Fitzgerald
is the teacher in charge of the band and he teaches us all the
music. The school band has existed for a long time and has always
been very good. Click the following link to get the
history of the school band. You wont be disappointed!
