Charity

Throughout the year St. Joseph's donates to many charities. Just this year we fundraised for Crumlin Hospital, participated
in the Trocaire Lenten Appeal and brought in food for the A.L.O.N.E. food drive which is organised by sixth class at Christmas
time. Last Christmas we held a Christmas Card appeal for Temple Street Hospital Eye Research Unit, which raised a lot of money.
We also donated old mobile phones to the Jack and Jill Foundation to help sick babies and their parents. Also in December we
held a Shoe Box Appeal" where we put old toys in shoe boxes and sent them to war torn countries so poor orphans could have a
happy Christmas. In February the school held a "Pancake Tuesday" fundraiser in aid of Tallaght Hospital which raised 450Euro for
sick children. Charities are a big part of St. Josephs and we hope in the future it will stay that way.
