Film In School FIS

The Beginning

The boys of class 5c are making a film this year as part of the fis project. They have been studying script writing, storyboards, film shots and editing since the start of the year. They are getting the hang of it now. They worked in groups to shoot movies to understand how to use the equipment. The short films were based on fairytales which were retold in a modern news format.

The woking title of the main movie is "Glody's Boots". It will tell the story of how Glody forgot his boots on the way to the Cumann na mBunscoil final but by a miracle a pair of boots were found for him. It's a bit far fetched even if it is true. Filming starts in the last week of April. There was a huge amount of work involved in writing the script and preparing the storyboards. Editing the footage will be the final stage. The experience has been great fun for them and they look forward to seeing the fruits of their labour.
