The Student Council

The Student Council at St. Joseph’s BNS plays an important role in giving pupils a voice and helping to shape school life. Made up of elected representatives from classes across the school, the council provides a platform for pupils to share ideas, discuss issues, and work together to make positive changes.
Elections take place each year, allowing pupils to experience a democratic process and understand the responsibilities that come with leadership roles. Once elected, council members meet regularly to discuss matters raised by their classmates and to plan initiatives that support our school community.
The council has been involved in a variety of projects, including promoting kindness and inclusion, supporting school events, and suggesting improvements to the school environment. Through their work, pupils develop confidence, communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.
The Student Council helps to strengthen the partnership between pupils, staff, and the wider school community. It encourages active citizenship and ensures that pupils feel heard and valued as members of St. Joseph’s BNS.
