Science Week was a fantastic celebration of curiosity, creativity and discovery across our school. Throughout the week, every class became a hub of scientific thinking as pupils explored exciting concepts and carried out hands-on experiments in their own classrooms. The boys investigated a wide range of topics, from chemical reactions to forces and magnetism, carefully observing what happened and discussing their findings.
A key focus was encouraging the language of science. Pupils were challenged to predict outcomes before each experiment began, explain their reasoning, and reflect on the results afterwards. It was wonderful to see such thoughtful engagement, with meaningful discussions taking place in every room. The sense of excitement was clear as experiments fizzed, popped, floated and flew!
To round off the week, the entire school gathered in the hall for a special showcase. Each year group demonstrated an experiment for the rest of the school, giving everyone the opportunity to observe, learn and be inspired by one another’s work. The confidence and enthusiasm on display were outstanding.
Science Week was a tremendous success, filled with rich learning experiences and great fun. Most importantly, it sparked curiosity and encouraged our pupils to continue exploring the world around them.
